Motel 6 opens in Fairborn, Ohio

DALLAS, Texas  (July 6, 2009) – Accor North America, one of the nation’s largest owner/operators of economy lodging, announced the opening of a new Motel 6 location in Fairborn, Ohio. The 149-room property, located at 800 North Broad Street at I-675 and I-70, was officially opened at a ribbon cutting ceremony on July 2. City of Fairborn Mayor Gary Woodward was on hand to cut the ribbon, along with Ambassador Club members of Fairborn Ohio Area Chamber of Commerce. Also attending the event were Amy Madison, Franchise Operations Manager from Accor; Patricia Higgins, Director, Department of Community Development for City of Fairborn; Kathleen Young, Executive Director of Greene County Convention and Visitors Bureau; and other dignitaries.

The property is one of the oldest hotels in the city of Fairborn and was formerly a Holiday Inn. This two-story interior corridor facility features three banquet halls, two small meeting rooms, an outdoor swimming pool and a large parking facility for trucks. Hitesh Patel is the general manager overseeing the property.
