Wouldn't it be easier to talk things over?

We've had a lot of positive feedback on the HotelTalk Blog that we launched this summer, and I appreciate your kind words and interest. For those of you who haven't yet been to http://www.hotelmotel.com/HotelTalk/ , please take a look. You'll find insightful commentary from our entire editorial team on myriad topics.

Our online march forward is continuing, and the latest news is the launch of our HotelTalk Forums at http://www.hotelworldnetwork.com/forums . Discussion forums certainly aren't new, but many trade publications have discovered them as great community builders in their industries. I think our industry is in need of such a forum, and I'm hoping to have you become a part of it.

H&MM's Editorial Advisory Board launches

HotelTalk features a general discussion subforum, along with specific subforums dedicated to design, operations, the luxury market, sales and marketing and more. Unlike our blog, anyone can start a topic with a question, comment, link or photo—and anyone else can respond. Our whole team of editors will certainly be present, stirring things up at first, and watching to see what you discuss amongst yourselves as the community evolves. This will be a key project for us, as it will help us stay better in tune with the issues and the concerns that are front of mind for you.

I encourage you to visit the discussion forums and see what we've started. Anyone can read the various threads, but if you want to post something yourself, you have to register. That said, registering is completely free and is very easy. You can choose a "handle" for yourself, if you're concerned about the boss or coworkers seeing your posts. This is your opportunity to share your industry knowledge with others, as well as pick up a tip or two. I look forward to seeing you at the forums!
