New York, NY (August 2008) -- New York City's Apple Core Hotels will this fall complete the final phase of an ongoing $15 million brand-wide renovation. The overhaul includes the revitalization of nearly 800 guestrooms, bathrooms, and hallways at The Hotel @ Times Square, The Ramada Inn Eastside, The Red Roof Inn Manhattan and the Comfort Inn Midtown. Apple Core's fifth property, The La Quinta Manhattan, will begin renovations after the Ramada's scheduled completion in mid-September. Expansive guestroom renovations include the replacement of all furniture, wallpaper, carpet, lighting and bedding. All rooms now feature 32-inch LCD flat-screen LG televisions and iHome MP3 player alarm clocks. Additionally, the five Apple Core properties offer free Wi-Fi Internet access in all rooms and public spaces, and many guestrooms feature in-room refrigerators and microwaves.
