Industry unsure of its own future

If hoteliers came to San Diego looking for a sunny side, they didn't find it at the Hilton Bayfront. The Americas Lodging Investment Summit kicked off with harsh news that the hotel industry is in a "freefall," according to Mark Woodworth, president of PKF Hospitality Research, and that everyone from developers to operators to investors are in hunker-down mode.
